Sustainable solutions for strategic positioning. ppg> at Fachpack

"refresh your packaging films" - we will present our portfolio of sustainable packaging solutions at Fachpack (Hall 7, Stand 7-341) in Nuremberg from 27 to 29 September. In addition to highly innovative strength in product development, the focus is on different strategic customer positioning in order to provide the best possible packaging concepts. Therefore, we operate in three segments in the development of sustainable packaging: Increasing recyclability, using renewable raw materials and the use of recycled materials in our production process.

In order to meet the legal requirements and the retail style guides, we offer Design for Recycling solutions that meet the targets for national and European sales markets on the basis of PP or PE. Ensuring optimal runnability on the current technical state of the packaging equipment is the top priority. 

At Fachpack, we also demonstrate the technical possibilities for reducing both - CO2 emissions and the use of petrochemical based materials - using renewable raw materials. Here you will also find solutions for bag and top film applications, which, in addition to alternative resources, also have good recyclability.

There are often limits to the use of recycled materials, especially in flexible packaging. Nevertheless, we have been able to establish solutions in the market based on mechanically recycled granulates for non-food products and chemical recycled granulates for food applications. In order to actively push further development in this area, we are active in various projects as a partner of market leaders from the mechanical engineering and printing ink industries. In Nuremberg, for example, results of innovative de-inking technologies for improving recyclate qualities will be exibited.

The flexible-packaging industry is facing a lot of challenges due to the change to sustainable packaging. Therefore, we at ppg> are cooperating with the collectors/recyclers – „duale Systeme“ - and the leading recycling institutes. We look forward to giving you a comprehensive impression of the current state of developments at Fachpack in Hall 7, Stand 7-341.
